This is Princeton Redline, an extra-large, advanced synthetic brush for artists. Redline is designed by Princeton, the best-known brushmakers in the United States. But it’s actually made in Germany, where Princeton was able to find the skilled artisans they needed for this large, highly consistent brush.

Each Redline is made by hand in Europe, from locally sourced beechwood and a mixture of different synthetic fibers for optimal paint handling and maximum color capacity. Redline brushes offer the same consistency you expect from smaller artist brushes, but in the big (2″ or 3″ wide) sizes you need for priming, underpainting, mural painting, and other big jobs.

Redline bristles are springy, durable, and surprisingly precise for such a large brush. They work perfectly with any oil or acrylic paint, and they wash out more easily than low-quality brushes from the hardware store.

Redline handles are multi-coated with red lacquer, so your new favorite big brush will stand out on your studio pegboard. Available in four shapes: oval, flat, angle, and short-handled flat. Each shape is available in a 2″ or 3″ width. Sold individually.
