This metallic grey multi pen from Japanese penmakers Ohto has a very neat trick up its sleeve – a gravity select mechanism. This allows you to switch between the black or red pen and 0.5mm mechanical pencil by turning the desired function icon on the pen to face and pushing the button.

The OHTO MF-20K3B multi-function pen features an all-metal body and knurled grip section for secure, comfortable writing. Its hexagonal barrel and protruding clip keep it in place, while its gravity-select mechanism allows effortless switching between two ballpoint functions – black and red – and a 0.5mm mechanical pencil function with a replaceable eraser.
