The Pilot Capless Dcimo is a lighter, slimmer version of the iconic Pilot Capless retractable fountain pen.

This very special limited edition of just 120 pens worldwide, celebrates 20 years of the Dcimo. It’s also a celebration of 100 years since Ryosuke Namiki and Masao Wada, the founders of Pilot, set sail from Yokohama to bring their fountain pens to the Western market. This was the first time wholly Japanese-made fountain pens had been exported from Japan, the beginning of the West’s love of Japanese fountain pens. The gradient design evokes starry skies, with the promise of dawn just starting to appear on the horizon, as the founders carry their pens from the Land of the Rising Sun.

The centre rings where the barrel parts join have a black satin finish, blending better into the night sky, while the other trim and 18k nib are rhodium plated. Supplied in an exclusive gift box, with gradient pattern inside to match the pen.

The Dcimo shares the unique retractable mechanism and peerless nib quality of the 50-year old design of the classic Capless. The nib is deployed and retracted simply by pressing the polished rhodium-plated button – much like any retractable ballpoint pen. A skilfully-engineered shutter keeps the smooth-writing 18K rhodium-plated gold nib safe from damage or drying out.
The Dcimo comes with a converter for use with bottled ink, and can also use Pilot IC50 ink cartridges.
