Encompassing unique skill, patience and dedication to their craft, theKokkokai (a group of Maki-e artisans formed in 1931) create every Namiki pen and have their name inscribed on each piece of work.

Showcasing Japanese culture, nature and symbols, each Namiki pen is unique sometimes taking months to create due to the multiple layers of urushi lacquer applied and the time for this to dry in between decorating the pens.

This Pilot Namiki Tradition pen is adorned with sacred mountain Mount Fuji and a Ship against an intense black lacquer background.

Just like the very first pen created on 9th February 1916, this fountain pen has a gold and iridium nib created in-house at Namiki.
