Brown Oak Ballpoint pen

Quality handmade wooden ballpoint twist pen handmade in Brown Oak. The pen features Polished Gun metal coloured fittings which perfectly compliment the wood.
This is a beautiful handmade quality pen, the comfortable shape in the hand is complemented by the wonderful natural feel and warmth of the wood with a traditional wax finish.
Brown Oak takes its colour from a fungus, Fistulina hepatica, which attacks the roots of the tree, causing the wood to assume a chocolate brown hue which often appears as streaks rising up from the base of the tree. The decaying effects of the fungus do not persist after the wood has been dried.Each pen will vary slightly as no two pieces of wood are quite the same.
A small certificate will be sent with the pen giving details of the wood.

The pen accepts standard cross type refills which are widely available. It will be shipped in the environmental friendly card case as pictured.

All pens are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded, sealed, waxed and polished to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance.
