Overview
At the turn of the 19th century, the artist Alphonse Mucha was at the height of his career. A fine artist, whose name is now synonymous with the art nouveau style, the Czech Mucha came from an illustration background and became widely and commercially well-known through his advertisements for everything from chocolate to cigarettes to laundry detergent.
Nouveau Blue is the newest addition to our core range of Esterbook Esties celebrates the innovation of Muchas work and his particular shades of blue, blended into a material that reflects the celluloid of pen making past.
Crafted by New York basednibmeisterJosh Lax, the Scribe nib is his take on the architect grind. Historically, this nib has been bespoke: cut for an individual, their writing style and how they hold the pen. To create this nib for a wider audience, Josh was given the task of cutting these nibs in masse, keeping the integrity of an architect, while avoiding any catch on the top or bottom as one writes with it.
A converter and 1 ink cartridge is included with this pen and comes housed in a luxurious fabric covered pen box.
For those looking to use their vintage Esterbrook nibs, the Vintage Nib Connector will allow you to use them with this pen.
