This final pen features a standard Nakaya gold clip instead of the Tiger roll stopper, and it comes with a 14k solid gold nib in your choice of tipping size.

This special edition was created to celebrate 2022 as the Year of the Tiger on the Asian calendar and to commemorate Nibs.com’s 27th anniversary. The striking stripes on the Orange Tiger are skillfully crafted using black Kuro-roiro and orange Araishu urushi finishes, with the kanji symbol for “Tiger” subtly hidden among the stripes. Each pen is inscribed with “Nibs.com Pen of the Year” on the barrel, along with its limited edition number.

The Naka-ai is an exclusive Nakaya model, designed by Nibs.com founder John Mottishaw in collaboration with renowned designer Shinichi Yoshida. The pen is compatible with any standard fountain pen ink, using the included converter or disposable Platinum ink cartridges.

Each Nakaya pen is beautifully presented in a paulownia softwood box adorned with kanji script, and it comes with a fabric pen kimono and a starter pack of Platinum ink cartridges.
