Powderham castle lacewood ballpoint pen

Quality handmade wooden ballpoint pen handmade in Lacewood. The pen features chrome coloured fittings which perfectly compliment the wood along with a stylus tip.

This is a beautiful handmade quality pen, the comfortable shape in the hand is complemented by the wonderful natural feel and warmth of the wood with a traditional wax finish.

The wood featured in this pen is Lacewood. The wood was taken from a tree that grew at Powderham Castle, Devon.

Powderham Castleis a Grade one listed, fortified manor house. It lies within the parish and former Manor of Powderham. Situated around six miles from Exeter near the village of Kenton. The Castleis still the home of the Current Earl of Devon.

The pen accepts standard cross type refills which are widely available. It will be shipped in the case pictured, along with a small certificate giving details of the wood. Each pen will vary slightly as no two pieces of wood are quite the same.

All pens are handmade by me beginning with rough cut woods for the body. The body of the pen is turned on a lathe to the final shape as seen on each pen. The body is then sanded, sealed, waxed and polished to its final finish. Assembly is completed by using pre-made high quality pen components for long lasting performance.
